Shorts & Socks

There was some confusion on the weekend over shorts & socks. When we registered the players this year we did not collect any money from parents for shorts & socks. It works out at $7 for socks & $18 for shorts. It was $100 just for the registration. If you believe that you did pay $125 at registration I can look up your receipt, just let me know.

Also can you please email me if you were unable to find shorts that fitted your child and quote the size please. I assume the socks were fine. Unfortunately we have not received the sizes we ordered.

Under 12's & Under 14's

I have just emailed you the new draws for under 12's & 14's. There is now a bye in 12's and some of the 14's games have changes times. I have also updated this site.

Under 16's Information

Good luck tomorrow night.

We have ordered socks & shorts for all players in the joint venture so they will have the same uniform. The jerseys will be alternated each week. They may not arrive by tomorrow but check with Matt Bade.

We are trying to encourage all players to train with the seniors on Tuesday or Thursdays. Wednesday was selected as the common training day for all 3 clubs at Niagara as we do not have access to Hylton Moore on Wednesdays.

12 1's Tomorrow Game Cancelled

Gosford have had to close their ground today and unfortunately that means that the 12 1's no longer have a game. I would encourage all players to come and watch the 2's play at Woy Woy to see how it all goes down.

Parent Information 2012
  • 9's, 10's, 12's & 14's are all playing on Sunday, 16's to be confirmed
  • Unfortunately all the shorts & socks I ordered the week after rego have not arrived. If you have black shorts please wear them if not it does not matter.
  • The coaches and managers are listed below. Parents please text the Manager if your child cannot play.
  • Please try and arrive at games at least 30 minutes before the game
Away Games
  • We only need to provide Goal Umpires and the Managers need to prepare team sheets
Home Games
  • 9's will need to set up the field and 14's will have to pull down
  • Canteen handover will be 30 minutes before the start of the next game
  • The team manager will approach you to assist on home games the following positions must be filled every week:
    • Ground Manager per team
    • Canteen including BBQ
    • Time Keeper
    • Goal Umpire
    • Trainer
    • Water optional
Rules

  • There is a rules video on the right hand side of the site. Please watch there are many changes.
  • Regional By laws are also on our site
Umpires
  • Most umpires are 13 or 14 year old kids who are learning. I do not want Parents or players to bag the umpire or back chat. We need to encourage umpires, no umpires no games.
Managers
  • Please help managers by volunteering for Home Game jobs
  • Managers need to do team sheets, organise volunteers, lodge scores on home games
Coaches
  • Please have a chat with coaches before you address the team as we do not want to send mixed messages to kids. Always encourage all players including your own kids.

Under 16's

Rogers Park is closed tonight and council are looking at the ground Saturday 7am. Council never review this but if by some chance they have changed their policy this year you will be advised. So assume it is off unless you hear otherwise.

Umpire Update

Dear Central Coast Umpires,

This is a quick reminder of my email from last week that we will have a compulsory training session this Tuesday night at Adcock Park, Gosford, details are below in a previous email.

Availability!!!!!
All umpires that are planning to umpire need to fill out a quick survey for me below!! This will give me details of the clubs you play for, your umpiring ability and general availability! I will then use this information to make weekly umpire appointments!!

Could each umpire please now follow this link and complete the quick survey. Please complete this before Tuesday night!!!




I will aim to have appointments released by Wednesday this week.

2012 Draws

I have uploaded the PDF'S for the draws for this year on the right hand side of this site towards the bottom, so you can easily find them during the season. The 12's teams will be finalised this Wednesday night at the Parents meeting.

In regard to the 16's attending the Parent's night. It's not that we do not want to see you guys but the night is about covering off all the duties that need to be done at the home games at Hylton Moore which do not apply to the 16's.

Wednesday 18th April 2012 Parents Meeting

Next Wednesday at 7PM Breakers CC downstairs, we are having a parents meeting to allocate all Game Day Coaches, Managers etc. We will also be dividing the 12's teams on the night. It is really important that all Parents attend this meeting. If you cannot make it please liaise with another Parent or email me what I need to take into consideration.

Also we have had to combine our 16's team with Niagara Park & North Lakes to have enough numbers to be competitive on a weekly basis.The main changes will be that there will be two coaches Dave Grimmond & Max Enders (He plays in our 18's) Matt Bade from Niagara will be managing the team. As the team will be registered as a Terrigal team we will need someone in our 16's to print the team sheets. We agreed to have a common training night on Wednesdays at Niagara 5.30 - 7PM so they can all run together. The reason Tuesday was an issue is due to a number of kids playing multiple codes. Niagara & North Lakes are excited about the future as both clubs were not able to field teams last year. I realise that this is not an ideal situation but it is about giving the kids a run this year and many of these players will be joining Terrigal in the Senior ranks in the future.

The Regional AFL have advised that the draw will be out next week so hopefully I will be able to email it next week.

AFL Supercamp

Just an update on the holiday Camp. It will now be for whole Junior Club. So Auskickers to U16's. Can we Put this on all the Websites including the GSJ, and the Central Coast. Its important we get the word out about these days as they are an excellent tool to promote our code in the region. Details are as Follows:

AFL over the last couple of years has run Holiday camps to develop the Skills of 5-12 year old Players. This Year AFL is taking Holiday Camp to the next Level. Holiday Camps will now focus on developing Boys and Girls 5 – 16 year olds.

Date: Tuesday 17th April 2012
Time: 9am-5pm
Cost: $50 per Participant (includes Lunch, Coaching, Football)

10-16 Years Overview:

8.00 am: Staff and Volunteer Meeting and briefing
8:15 am: Staff set up stations
9:00 am: Registrations
9:30 am:  Warm Up
9:45 am:  Basic Skill Stations (rotate every 15 Minutes)
10:30 am: Regroup for Free Time (inflatable’s)
11:00 am: Regroup Participants for Advanced Kicking and Games Sense (rotate every 20 Minutes)
12:00 pm: Lunch (sausage sizzle + drink provided)
1:00 pm: AFL Games (teams to be made by coordinators)
3:00 pm: Finals
4:00 pm: Free Time (inflatable’s)
5:00 pm: Home Time and Pack down time

Training is now on at Hylton Moore starting on the 3rd April 2012 4.30 PM - 6PM. Boots can now be worn.
